How a stone is made
"You roll it into a circle, then you split it into anything. And then you roll a piece of clay, any colour, into a whirmy shape, and wrap it around the clay fidget."
Roll it into a circle
Start with a ball of clay and roll it round in your hands.
Split it into anything
A square, a rectangle, a triangle, a diamond, a pentagon. Any of those.
Make a smaller one to match
If it's a circle, make a smaller circle for the inside. If it's a triangle, a smaller triangle.
Roll a whirmy shape
Roll a piece of clay, any colour, into a long whirmy shape and wrap it right around the edge.
Add the texture
Press the pattern into the front. Then it becomes one of these.

Francesca makes every stone by hand at the kitchen table. She rolls them, wraps the loops, presses in the patterns, and then gives each one a name and writes it down in teal marker.
She likes bright colours, patterns you can feel with your thumb, and no two stones ever coming out the same. Blue Moss is her favourite, which is why there are only a few.
